If you are new to internet marketing, one of the many things you are going to have to think about is hosting. There are tons of great hosting companies out there – lots of junk ones too. I have used quite a few and most are similar in respects to the back-end and what their basic function is, but reliability (up-time) and customer service vary wildly amongst the different companies out. Hostgator is probably the best hosting company for someone new to internet marketing because their pricing is very good, you can pay a small monthly fee instead of large up-front fees and again – service is top notch.
Also, you may have been looking around at the different money-making aspects of internet marketing and you have heard of site-flipping. If this piqued your interest, Hostgator has what is called a re-seller account where you can add-on accounts to your main account and then sell them – go here for a better explanation. What makes this great is that if you want to flip sites is that you can sell a site with built-in hosting for a year (for example) and if that person keeps their account and renews next year – you will be getting residual commissions – you make money on the site flip more than one – not a bad deal.
